How to Safely Entertain a Puppy

Tire them out!

Before you have to leave for work, and then again just before bed time, take your puppy for a nice, long walk. Puppies have a lot of energy, so the more you can expend on activities together, they less they have for destructive purposes later. Get a leash and collar or harness that's a comfortable fit for both you and your pup. If you're going on hikes, walking on rough or icy terrain or going for a particularly long walk, consider taking extra gear along. Collapsible water bowls, dog boots and a light jacket are all great options.

Entertain a puppy with training

Think outside the box

Create a safe space for your puppy to retreat to when they're over-stimulated. A new house can be a lot to take in, so they need need a minute to themselves.
